Колін Декстер знову вражає своїм талантом створювати складні та інтригуючі сюжети, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. У цій історії інспектор Морс стикається з двома пов'язаними вбивствами, що додає ще більше динаміки та напруги. Його внутрішні конфлікти та емоційний зв'язок з одним з підозрюваних роблять персонажа ще більш глибоким і реалістичним. Хоча переклад книги виконано за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних неточностей, це не зменшує загального враження від читання. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім любителям детективів, адже вона не лише розважає, а й змушує задуматися про моральні аспекти та складність людських відносин.
