Carthaginian War veteran Eubulides and his former slave, Lad, are sold by the pirates who captured them at the slave market in Pergamon. Історія Евбуліда та Лада, які, ставши друзями в умовах рабства, борються за свою свободу, є надзвичайно зворушливою. Їхні переживання, страхи та надії настільки реалістичні, що ви відчуваєте, ніби самі переживаєте їхні пригоди. Хоча переклад не завжди ідеальний, це не заважає насолоджуватися сюжетом та глибокими темами, які піднімаються в книзі. Рекомендую всім, хто любить історичні романи з елементами драми та пригод!
