The book by the remarkable Soviet and Russian playwright, screenwriter, prose writer Leonid Genrikhovich Zorin (born 1924) contains works united by the figure of Kostya Romin, well known to the audience from the famous television film “Pokrovsky Gates” (filmed in 1982, directed by Mikhail Kozakov, starring: Oleg Menshikov, Leonid Bronevoy, Inna Ulyanova) and the play of the same name. Three stories and the novel “Old Manuscript” cover the period 1950–1970 and are dedicated to the youth and manhood of the hero.

Неперевершене повернення до класики!
Читання "Покровської брами" стало для мене справжнім відкриттям. Леонід Зорін зумів створити неповторну атмосферу, яка переносить читача в часи 1950–1970-х років, коли юність і мужність Костика Роміна стають символами цілого покоління. Ця книга не лише відтворює емоції та переживання героїв, але й змушує задуматися про цінності, які залишаються актуальними й сьогодні. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, я не відчула суттєвих недоліків у якості перекладу. Деякі фрази, можливо, звучать трохи незвично, але це не заважає насолоджуватися глибоким змістом творів. Я рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче зануритися в світ, де переплітаються драма, любов і пошук сенсу життя. Це справжня класика, яка заслуговує на увагу!
