It all started when chaos began in Russia, engulfed in terror and mired in the national question. The power elite did not want the huge piece beyond the Urals to go to foreign expeditionary forces. And she decided: “So don’t let anyone get you!” All that was required was to press a button. Thousands of square kilometers were abundantly plowed up and fertilized with nuclear charges, not sparing cities and towns. In small groups, survivors settled on patches of land less affected by destruction and radiation. Those who did not accept the conditions of the Great Redistribution doomed themselves to death - the fall into turmoil and chaos happened at lightning speed......This voyage along the Siberian rivers was the last for Tikhon Zlotnikov. It’s my own fault—there was no need to smuggle in secret from the ship’s captain. The morals are simple: if you get caught, they throw you overboard. So Tikhon ended up on the territory of the new Babylon (this is what Siberia has become - a multilingual enclave where both native Siberians and surviving foreigners live in small groups and where civilized law practically does not apply). Tikhon will have to survive, get used to his new life, meet new people... and not only people. He learns that the first person is a person with superpowers. And one day he will hear himself called by this word. Fate stubbornly leads Tikhon to the Strip, to the most terrible place on Earth. A place from which people do not return. And you can’t fool fate...
