Історія Толіка Карпова, який стає Дегером у жорстокому світі Імперії, захоплює з перших сторінок. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу напруження та небезпеки, а також глибокі роздуми про ідентичність і походження. Персонажі прописані дуже детально, і їхні переживання викликають співчуття. Особливо вразила ідея про Тварей, які є не лише ворогами, а й символом внутрішніх страхів та боротьби. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, загальна якість тексту не псує враження від читання. Цю книгу варто прочитати всім, хто любить динамічні сюжети та глибокі філософські питання!
