Ritwik Ghosh, twenty-two and recently orphaned, finds the chance to start a new life when he arrives in England from Calcutta. But then, one night, in the badlands of King's Cross, Ritwik runs into the suave, unfathomable Zafar bin Hashm. As present and past of several lives collide, Ritwik's own goes into free fall.

Взаємодія Рітвіка з міс Гілбі та його літньою господинею Енн Кемерон додає глибини сюжету, а зустріч з загадковим Зафаром бін Хашмою стає каталізатором для змін у його житті. Книга змушує задуматися про важливість стосунків, самотність та пошуки свого місця у світі. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, емоційна сила та глибина історії роблять цю книгу вартою прочитання. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує літературу, що торкається серця і душі!
