Автор майстерно передає атмосферу епохи, в якій розгортаються події, і створює яскраві образи персонажів, які викликають симпатію та співчуття. Андрій Воронцов - це герой, з яким легко ідентифікуватися, адже його боротьба за справедливість і помсту стає відображенням людських прагнень і страхів. Сюжет сповнений несподіваних поворотів, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючою історією.
