The collection “Through the Bunins' Mouths” offered to readers contains excerpts from the diary entries of Ivan Alekseevich Bunin and his wife Vera Nikolaevna Bunina. The diaries reflect the years of life and literary work of one of the most prominent representatives of world classical literature of the 20th century. The beginning of his life’s journey, first publications, universal recognition, the “damned days” of the “Russian Troubles”, the life of the Russian Abroad and the worldwide fame of the Nobel Prize laureate - all these stages of the creative biography of I.A. Bunin were reflected on the pages of his diaries. The first edition was published by the Posev publishing house in 1977–1982. They are published for the first time in Russia. The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
