Cilla O'Roarkie, a successful late-night radio presenter, becomes the victim of threats from a telephone maniac. At first, the girl did not attach much importance to the calls, but after a while she was forced to contact the police asking for help. Boyd Fletcher, who was appointed as the defender, falls in love with Silla and does everything possible to win her, but she, having survived the death of her parents and fearing new losses, does not want to build a serious relationship, although she feels that a reciprocal feeling is arising in the depths of her soul.
