The son of Chernigov prince Vsevolod Svyatoslavich, canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church, occupies a special place in Russian history. After the establishment of the Mongol-Tatar yoke in Rus', he arrived at the headquarters of Batu Khan to receive a label for reign.
