The Coming Insurrection is perhaps the most powerful leftist text of the last decade. The authors of this post-situationist manifesto hide behind the collective pseudonym “Invisible Committee”. French police investigating the sabotage of the tracks of the National Company of Railways (SNCF) in November 2008 attribute its authorship to the so-called “Tarnaca Nine” - a group of activists from an autonomous settlement in a remote village, captured on suspicion of organizing a train stop. This manifesto is witty and a piercingly accurate description of the unbearability of everyday existence in the conditions of developed capitalism, presented in seven chapters - the seven circles of hell, as well as a revolutionary philosophical program for resistance to the new world order.
