Alice's dad, the director of the Moscow Space Zoo, where animals from various planets are collected, decided to give his daughter a gift during the holidays. Alice had just finished second grade; she had previously traveled around the Earth and even flown to Mars and Venus, but she had not yet been to distant planets. Professor Seleznyov and Captain Zeleny are just setting off on the ship Pegasus on an expedition to find new animals for the zoo. The voyage, of course, did not promise anything unusual or extraordinary, no pirates or trap planets, but in the end it turned out to be filled with interesting and dangerous adventures...
