This book is the second part of a two-volume series dedicated to Russian literature of the twentieth century. Each chapter is a page of history through the eyes of writers and poets who witnessed the main events of the era in which they lived and created. The second volume includes lectures on the works of such outstanding personalities as Pikul, Bulgakov, Shalamov, Iskander, Aitmatov, Yevtushenko and others. Dmitry Bykov seems to take us back to the year in which this or that book was created. The book was created based on the popular program “One Hundred Lectures with Dmitry Bykov.”
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
