The book for the first time collects almost entirely the poetic and memoir heritage of the outstanding writer of the “second wave” of Russian emigration Gleb Aleksandrovich Glinka (1903-1989). A representative of one of the destroyed movements of Soviet literature, the Pereval group, teacher of the poet Nikolai Glazkov, Glinka lived in the pre-war USSR awaiting arrest until war broke out. The writer was drafted into the "militia" and in the fall of 1941 was captured by the Germans. The poet's fate was unusual: in the USSR he was considered dead, but he was released by the Allies, survived, lived first in Belgium, later in the USA, where he joined the stream of emigrant literature and wrote until the end of his life. In addition to about two hundred poems, the book contains the first published complete text of the book "At the Pass" and selected articles about literature.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
