But one separated from them and rebelled against the Plan of Eru... And innumerable disasters arose from this. The struggle between Light and Darkness lasted for centuries, but the Black Lord was defeated and imprisoned by his brothers in the Chambers of the Dead, from where no one could escape - neither Ainur, nor elf, nor mortal.
