At the end of the fifteenth century, the French king Charles VIII was preparing for a campaign of conquest in Italy. Due to the intrigues of the royal court, the daughter of the famous Florentine merchant and banker Fiora Beltrami, living in Paris, is forced to leave the city. Fate takes her to North Africa and the island of Crete, Istanbul and Hungary. A young pirate saves Fiora from imminent death, and the short love that breaks out between them illuminates the girl’s life with a bright, all-consuming temptation.

Книга "Флорентійка та султан" вражає своєю глибиною та емоційною наповненістю. Автор майстерно переносить читача в епоху п'ятнадцятого століття, де інтриги королівського двору та політичні амбіції переплітаються з особистими долями героїв. Фьора Бельтрамі, дочка купця, стає символом сили та витривалості, коли вона опиняється в небезпечних ситуаціях, а її коротке, але пристрасне кохання з юним піратом додає сюжету романтики та динаміки. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на загальне сприйняття тексту, я вважаю, що ця книга варта уваги. Вона спонукає замислитися про силу кохання та вибір, який ми робимо в житті. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує історичні романи з елементами пригод та романтики!
