Wilhelm Joseph Blos (1849–1927) was a prominent German writer, journalist and politician. His work on the history of the Great French Revolution was first published back in 1888 and went through several reprints before the Second World War, including in Russian, both before the revolution and already in Soviet Russia. Fascinatingly and thoroughly, literally day by day, V. Blos describes the events in France at the turn of the 18th–19th centuries that changed the world forever. This book deals with the first five years of the revolution: 1789–1794.
