From this book, which is the prehistory of the Sailors of Horus, we learn about the existence of a mysterious cargo, secretly carried onto a large ship, and hidden in its hold among other goods. This load can affect the outcome of the above-mentioned game. There are two storytellers. First, a young woman once known as Miss Margaret Alyssa Cameron, and second, a man who, for reasons that will become apparent, is not named in the manuscript. However, it seems clear that the man in question somehow contributed to the former Miss Cameron's ending up on the scene of a slave auction in Brundisium, one of the main ports of Horus.
