Головний герой, попадаючи у 1908 рік, стає свідком важливих історичних подій і намагається знайти свій шлях у світі, де пісні та роялі звучать на фоні політичних змін. Цікаво, як автор підходить до теми СРСР, намагаючись об'єктивно оцінити історію, не забуваючи про особистісні переживання персонажів. Хоча текст містить багато довідкової інформації, це не заважає основному сюжету, а навпаки, збагачує його. Переклад, хоч і має свої недоліки, все ж передає дух оригіналу. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче поринути у світ історії та фантазії одночасно!
