"A Lover's Dictionary" is the first novel for adults by the famous American author of books for young people, David Levitan. The writer presented the history of the relationship between two lovers and the whole gamut of their feelings and experiences, from first delight to resentment and jealousy, in the form of dictionary entries arranged in alphabetical order, so that the entire story about the love of two unnamed heroes unfolds before the reader not linearly, but fragmentarily, from one memorable episode to another. All together, these short but capacious microstories add up to a lyrical poem or love song, in some ways unique, in some ways recognizable and familiar to each of us.
