Die Germania is a work of the ancient author Tacitus, which became one of the classic sources for studying the history and culture of ancient Germanic tribes. In his work, Tacitus describes in detail the customs, ceremonies, political organization and way of life of the Germans. The author examines the tribes that lived to the east of the Rhine, the former Magnius, among which a special place is given to barbarians and Chuvonians. Die Germania provides the reader with an opportunity to better understand the historical context of the times of the Roman Empire and the interaction of the imperial civilization with the barbarians. This work is an important source for the study of archaeology, ethnography and cultural studies of the ancient world.
