The travelers setting out on a yacht encountered a huge silent ship, the Mary Deere, at sea. It turned out that it was wrecked. The yachtsmen decide to look for survivors of the wreck. Several English sailors sailed from Murmansk in March 1945 with a cargo of silver ingots. The ship is hit by a mine, and the survivors; sailors end up in an internment camp on charges of mutiny. The heroes of H. Innes’ novels “The Wreck of the Mary Deere” and “Maddon’s Rock” find themselves in incredibly dangerous situations at sea and on land.
