The almanac “Magister Ludi” (abbreviated as ML) was published in the early 2000s by an editorial team that united masters of role-playing games from different cities of the CIS. Back then, games were more of a hobby for all of us than a professional job, but we already took them extremely seriously. This collection publishes a selection of articles by Kazan ML authors devoted to the research and development of role-playing games, in particular the concepts of plot and world, which were actively discussed in those years by the young community of game makers.
