The novel “Feast of the Vanquished” has a difficult fate. During the years of stagnation, it was outlawed and seized. Tsytovich’s name “thundered” suddenly when the magazine “April”, the organ of the Union of Writers of Russia, nominated his novel for the prestigious literary prize “Booker Debut” and it entered the top ten nominees. The plot of the novel is complex and multi-layered, and the narrative develops on two levels - the past and the present, which are intertwined in the consciousness and memories of the hero, a former military pilot and prisoner, and now a hard worker and writer. This is a novel about war, about the hero’s difficult path to God, to Love, to himself.

Вражаюче та глибоке читання
Роман "Свято переможених" вразив мене своєю складною структурою та багатошаровим сюжетом. Історія колишнього військового льотчика, що пережив війну та важкі часи, розкриває глибокі теми самопізнання, боротьби з власними демонами та пошуку сенсу життя. Автор майстерно поєднує минуле та сьогодення, дозволяючи читачеві відчути емоції героя на кожному етапі його життя. Хоча роман і був оголошений поза законом, його потужний меседж про війну, втрати та відновлення звучить актуально і сьогодні. Я також відзначаю якість перекладу, хоча іноді зустрічалися незначні недоліки, які не заважали загальному сприйняттю тексту. Це книга, яка залишає слід у серці та змушує замислитися про важливі речі в житті. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує глибоку літературу!
