José Lezama Lima (1910–1976) is an outstanding Cuban writer, the pride of the Spanish language and an undoubted classic, whose poetry and prose contain a fantastic synthesis of world cultures.X. L. Lima made his debut as a poet in the 1930s; in the 1940s-1950s. headed an intellectual circle of transcendentalist poets, created the best magazine in the Spanish-speaking world, “Origenes.” He was loved by Julio Cortazar and Vargas Llosa. It was published more than once in Europe and the Americas. In Russian, this is the second book of selected works; many things are being published for the first time, including “Havana” - a “pocket guide”, in which one sees a small summa of everything created by Lesama.
