Jean Marchais - an illegal intelligence officer lives under this name in France. Having received an assignment, he goes to Argentina as a journalist for one of the newspapers, leaving his beloved Montmartre. There luck smiled on him, and he “accidentally” learns about the presence of military camps, which immediately attracts the attention of two intelligence agencies. But his experience as an illegal immigrant shows that luck does not happen by chance. This is part of the task, and the second half of it is a violation of his rules not to make direct contact with the station. But there are exceptions to any rule. He is not a supporter of radical measures, but when the stake is life, he chooses his own.
