Grandson of the famous historian S.M. Solovyov, nephew of the no less famous philosopher Vl. S. Solovyov, a friend of Andrei Bely and Alexander Blok, Sergei Mikhailovich Solovyov (1885-1942) was himself a talented poet and thinker. His “Memoirs”, published for the first time, vividly describe the author’s childhood and youth, his relatives and friends, Moscow life and intellectual atmosphere of the late 19th - early 20th centuries. The book also includes his “Memoirs of Alexander Blok.”
