The book “Existential Psychology” became a manifesto of humanistic psychology, a special direction of modern psychological science that emerged in the early 60s in the USA. The founders of humanistic psychology and its recognized leaders were Abraham Maslow, Rollo May and Carl Rogers. Originating as an opposition to psychoanalysis and behaviorism, this direction very quickly gained recognition from a large number of professionals and became a truly real “third force” in modern psychology.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program.
