The Devil himself lives in a luxurious Parisian mansion - this is the name behind the back of the Duke of Avon, known to all high society. A reveler, a gambler and a duelist, he, on top of everything else, also has a sharp and evil tongue, and - oh God! - has contempt for high wigs and front sights, so prized by Parisian fashionistas. And on a narrow street, this embodiment of all kinds of vices meets a worthy opponent... A youth with red curls and a rebellious look makes a worthy match for a dandy and a spendthrift. The Duke makes him his page. And a daring young man named Leon creates a real sensation in the high society of Paris. And everything would be fine, but only the page catches the eye of the duke’s sworn enemy, the gloomy and extremely unpleasant Comte de Saint-Viru. And from that moment events begin to develop with kaleidoscopic speed. Chases and shootouts are interspersed with quarrels and fainting spells among the Duke's relatives. And when his younger brother gets down to business, even Avon himself is lost, but not Leon. France and England, Paris and London are watching with bated breath the grandiose story, the intrigue of which is twisting ever tighter with each page.
