The real events of the story unfold in the mid-90s of the twentieth century - during the period of the decline of the Russian army and the heyday of uncontrolled hazing. Settings: An elite division based in the Moscow region and the Chechen Republic during the first military campaign. Like thousands of young guys, the hero of the book, Alexey, swore an oath to serve the Fatherland, but in reality he gave his soul and body for the amusement of embittered grandfathers and indifferent officers. Sadism, disappointment, hope, pain, war, romance, love, hospital, mountains, justice, death, guardhouse - everything had a place in the hero’s life. The story is entirely autobiographical. Character names have been changed to fictitious ones. Contains obscene language.
