Potap is distributed to a small northern town. He goes fishing with a new friend into the forest. However, there they are attacked by a murderous maniac. Out of fear and horror, Potap runs into the forest, to the water. He falls, drowns in the river, comes to his senses in a cave. There he discovers a huge city under the mountain where people live. Disappeared. Of their own free will, not wanting to go back.

Книга "Долина зниклих" вразила мене своєю оригінальністю та напруженим сюжетом. Історія Потапа, який потрапляє в небезпечну ситуацію і виявляє місто, населений людьми, що зникли, тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Автор майстерно передає атмосферу страху та невизначеності, а також глибокі емоції героїв, які змушують читача переживати разом із ними. Мене особливо вразила ідея про людей, які свідомо обрали залишитися в цьому загадковому місці, що ставить багато питань про свободу вибору та цінність життя. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків у формулюваннях, загальна якість перекладу не заважає насолоджуватися історією. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить пригоди, містичні елементи та глибокі роздуми про людську природу!
