“Flour Babies” is a story from the lives of English high school students. Children from socially disadvantaged families, who seem to be unable to be assigned anything, are given an unexpected task at school. For three weeks they must “look after” rag babies stuffed with flour. What feelings will this awaken in them? What will they be capable of? How will this strange school experiment turn out in the lives of each teenager? This book is addressed not only to teenagers, but also to their teachers and parents.
