The book by American journalist William Robert Miller tells about the outstanding human rights activist Martin Luther King. For twelve years, Miller was next to King - he helped him in his work, edited his articles, closely watched him and kept a diary, which turned into a kind of chronicle of his life. These notes, as well as extensive materials collected by Miller, formed the basis of one of the most complete biographies of Martin Luther King, which is now published in Russian for the first time.
