"Something Written" by Italian writer and art critic Emanuele Trevi (b. 1964) is a novel about the legendary poet, novelist and director Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922-1975), whose literary legacy is "not exactly a text understood as an object that sooner or later must separate from its author. It's more like a shadow, a trace, a temperature graph suspended from the back of a hospital bed. The graphics wouldn’t make sense without someone running around under the sheets.” Through the reading of "Oil", the unfinished novel by P. P. P., Trevi tries to reveal the secret of the work and life of the artist, as one of the ideal and last representatives of the modern era.
