A long time ago, the Earth sent its children on huge ships to colonize other planets. One of these ships went off course and made an emergency landing on an unfamiliar planet. This is how the Flyers appeared and took their own special place in this world. They soared in the skies and were equal to the Rulers. They provided the fastest possible communication on this planet between the scattered islands. The main character, Maris, is the daughter of a fisherman. Since childhood, she dreamed of flying, although she knew that she would never own wings - they are passed on only by inheritance.
