The book "Duel" is a historical novel written by the famous Russian writer Anton Chekhov. The main theme of the work is the fateful meeting of two completely opposite people during a moment of great stress. The novel takes place in the 19th century and tells how the meeting of two men leads to a situation where they finally understand who they really are.
