Lies - smiling, arrogant, flattering, insinuating, incessant lies... They lied all together and each individually, forgetting that sooner or later the truth would come out anyway. They lied here too, in this house in the mountains, cut off from the world by a terrible blizzard and snowfall. Now even the dead man, the owner of the house, was lying with a broken temple in his room on the second floor, and the wind, crying and howling, furiously threw snow at the open window.
