In the book offered to the reader, the author completes his autobiographical trilogy, which began with memories of his distant childhood in the village of Levykino, and then continued with a narrative about Moscow life in the anxious but happy thirties of his pre-war school youth. After four years of war, and then another four years of military service, fate connected him for the rest of his life with Moscow State University. His memory preserved for him vivid pictures of the post-war five-year student life with friends and classmates, years of study, teachers, professors and lecturers, completion of his studies at postgraduate studies, and then his entry into scientific and teaching activities at the Faculty of History.
