Volume 2.
The second volume includes the first and three chapters of the second part of the famous trilogy about the Apache leader Winnetou and his white friend Slashing Hand. The amazing adventures described by Karl May take place in the American West after the Civil War, when tens of thousands of entrepreneurs, adventurers, and seekers of easy money rushed to “free” in their understanding, that is, unindustrialized lands. The clash of two civilizations - and the writer rightly considered the culture of the Indians to be original and deserving of no less respect than the culture of Europeans - gives rise to unusual situations in which the human essence of the novel's heroes is revealed more fully than anywhere else.
Volume 3. p>
The third volume includes four chapters of the second part and the final part of the trilogy about the Apache leader Winnetou. The storylines begun by the writer in the first part, following the whimsical play of his rich imagination, receive a logical conclusion. Evil is punished, but sadness is mixed with the triumph of good. The main character dies tragically, his family line is interrupted, which is a symbol of the decline of Indian civilization.
