Volume 12.
The twelfth volume includes two (parts 1 and 2) of the novel “Satan and Iscariot”. The famous hunter Old Shatterhand, with whom the author identifies himself, traveling through the north-west of Mexico, he encounters a gang of clever swindlers. Together with his friend, the Apache leader Winnetou, he is trying to destroy the plans of the bandits and hand over the leaders of the gang to the authorities. Friends manage to save a party of German settlers from death. As usual in May, the intense action (hunting the enemy, pursuit, battle) is interrupted by witty dialogues and philosophical discussions, as well as descriptions of the morals and customs of the Northern Mexican Indians. The bandit leaders still manage to escape; Old Shatterhand and Winnetou set off in pursuit of them, this time to the north of Africa.
Volume 13.
The thirteenth volume included two parts (part 2-ending and 3) of the novel “Satan and Iscariot.” This volume concludes the story of the restoration of justice, in which the forces of good are personified by Winneta and Old Shatterhand, and the forces of evil are swindlers and money-grubbers. The action takes place in Africa and North America.
