Sabrina has never felt as confident as she does now. For the first time in a long time, she wasn't worried about monsters, scoundrels, and crazy people. She was not afraid of unexpected attacks or betrayals from people she trusted. In truth, she wanted a confrontation. Allow one of the Scarlet Hand's thugs to create something and then grind him into dust! Her body was strong. Her blood was hungry. She was a machine of destruction. She wanted to tell her sister how she felt. She alone could make Daphne understand that what happened was for the best, but it was difficult to find the words. Her thoughts were cloudy and confused. It didn't help that everyone was screaming and the room was very drafty. Sabrina turned to Daphne. The little girl felt that she was changing. A swirling black mist surrounded her, obscuring most of her face. All Sabrina could see were her eyes, like two shining suns illuminating the dark corners and destroying the shadows. “Sabrina, you have to stop this!” - Grandma Relda shouted. Sabrina was puzzled. What does grandma mean? She didn't do anything wrong. -You have to overcome this! - Daphne exclaimed from behind a curtain of black fog, - I know it’s you! Don't let him control you! - Why are you telling me that? - Sabrina asked. When no one answered, she realized that these words were only in her head. “Fight him, child,” a voice was heard from somewhere below. Sabrina looked down. Mr. Kanis lay at her feet, old and withered. His body was clutched in a huge, fur-covered paw. She was squeezing the life out of an old man. Sabrina begged, hoped, that someone would help her free her friend from the terrible grip of this monster, but her pleas stopped when she realized that the claws killing Mr. Kanis were her own.
