Publisher's abstract: The third volume of de Gaulle's memoirs is published in Russian for the first time. The book presents extensive factual and documentary material on the political history of France in the period after liberation and in the first post-war year. The third volume of memoirs is equipped with photographs, bibliography, as well as various materials reflecting the era presented in the book and the personality of the author. In his memoirs, de Gaulle appears before us as the new political leader of one of the victorious powers in World War II, which faced a number of difficult domestic and foreign policy tasks. On the shoulders of de Gaulle fell the task of recreating the power structure in post-war France and solving problems related to France's position on the international stage in the system of post-war reconstruction of the world and in the light of the outbreak of the Cold War.
