The book is based on memoirs, diary entries, correspondence and interviews of Anna Alekseevna Kapitsa (1903–1996) - the daughter of the greatest Russian engineer A. N. Krylov and the wife of the outstanding scientist - academician, Nobel Prize laureate Pyotr Leonidovich Kapitsa (1894-1984) . The time covered in these materials includes the three Russian revolutions, the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars, the Stalin era, the years of Brezhnev stagnation and the beginning of perestroika. A living, interested personality appears in the texts, connected by many connections with different people and events, the 20th century takes on a new dimension. The book was prepared by E. L.
