Dmitry Merezhkovsky entered literature as a poet and translator, tried himself as a critic and playwright, his trilogy “Christ and Antichrist”, studies “Leo Tolstoy and Dostoevsky” and “Gogol and the Devil” (1906) gained enormous popularity. Автор, як завжди, майстерно поєднує літературні та філософські елементи, пропонуючи читачеві зануритися у світ пошуків істини та духовного просвітлення. Мережковський ставить під сумнів традиційні уявлення про Ісуса, запрошуючи нас задуматися над тим, що може означати Третій Завіт і як він може вплинути на наше розуміння світу. Книга наповнена глибокими роздумами, які змушують читача переосмислити свої власні переконання. Хоча текст був перекладений за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків, загальна якість перекладу не заважає насолоджуватися цим літературним твором.
