Twenty-three years have passed since the death of the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar. During this time, in the ancient state, proud of its giant tower, the temple of Marduk and the amazing gardens of Babylon, several formidable kings were replaced, until power fell into the hands of the capricious and narrow-minded Belshazzar and his co-ruler Nabonidus. But one day, in the midst of careless and sacrilegious fun, Four mysterious words appeared on the walls of the royal banquet hall - “Mene, mene, tekel, upharsin!”, and the great state of Babylon, which considered itself the center of the entire universe, shuddered.
