The book represents the first experience of a comprehensive study of holidays in Hellas and in the ancient cities of the Northern Black Sea region in the VI-I centuries. BC e. The work is based on the study of literary and epigraphic sources; monuments of material culture, primarily works of fine art, are widely involved in it. The author describes the main holidays of Olbia, Chersonese, Panticapaeum and some Bosporan cities, reveals the genetic similarity of these holidays with many celebrations in Hellas, for the first time summarizes various evidence of the participation of citizens from the cities of the Northern Black Sea region in the largest festivals of Apollo in Miletus, Delphi and on the island of Delos, and also in the Panathenaea and Eleusinian Mysteries.
