The book by the remarkable Soviet prose writer and publicist Vladimir Alekseevich Chivilikhin (1928–1984) includes three stories that have long been loved by our readers. The first two of them were awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize in 1966. In the story “About Klava Ivanova” the main character and Pyotr Spirin work in the same railway depot. They share a strange relationship. Klava, who tenderly and devotedly loves the frivolous Peter, one day decides to break up with him... The film of the same name was shot in 1969 by director Leonid Maryagin, starring Natalya Rychagova, Gennady Saifulin, Boris Kudryavtsev.
