Автор майстерно передає емоції Джо, його боротьбу за порятунок матері та спроби знайти відповіді на запитання, які його оточують. Сюжет розгортається повільно, але це лише підкреслює глибину переживань героїв. Круглий дім, як священне місце, стає символом надії та пошуку істини. Книга також піднімає важливі соціальні питання, пов'язані з життям у резерваціях, і змушує читача замислитися над проблемами, які часто залишаються поза увагою.
