Otto von Bismarck is one of the iconic figures in world history. The “Iron Chancellor” of Prussia, he created the German Empire (II Reich) and managed to strengthen its position in the world. Bismarck was well versed in foreign policy, well aware of the state of European states and Russia (he lived in St. Petersburg for a long time, being the Prussian ambassador to our country). In his book, he talks about how the German Empire was created, how the political map of Europe changed after that, and what role Russia played in this. Wilhelm II was Emperor of Germany from 1888 to 1918. Книга "Другий рейх. Не треба воювати з Росією" є надзвичайно цінним джерелом для всіх, хто цікавиться історією Німеччини та Європи в цілому. Спогади Вільгельма II про Отто фон Бісмарка та його вплив на формування Німецької імперії відкривають нові горизонти для розуміння політичних процесів того часу. Автор вдало підкреслює, як важливо було для Німеччини уникати конфліктів з Росією, і чому ігнорування заповітів Бісмарка призвело до катастрофічних наслідків. Ця книга не лише розповідає про історичні події, але й змушує задуматися про їхній вплив на сучасність. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки перекладу, загальна якість тексту залишається високою, а ідеї, викладені у книзі, залишаються актуальними і сьогодні. Рекомендую всім, хто хоче глибше зрозуміти складні відносини між державами та їхній вплив на світову політику!
