Semyon Lvovich Lungin (1920–1996) is a playwright and screenwriter, known for the films “Welcome, or No Trespassing”, “Attention, Turtle!”, “Telegram”, “Agony”, “Once Upon a Time There Lived a Song Thrush”, “Three in a Boat, Not Counting the Dog”, “Practice” and many others. “Seen in Reality” is the only book by Semyon Lungin written in the first person. He writes about the magic of theater and cinema, about his time and about people. His heroes are Stanislavsky and Solomon Mikhoels, Mikhail Romm and Peter Brook, Victor Nekrasov and Vladimir Vysotsky, David Samoilov and Fr. Alexander Men. And of course, his wife - Lilianna Lungina, author and heroine of the bestseller “Interlinear” - this book is dedicated to her, “like everything else,” according to the author.
